There is no such thing as a stable relationship! Relationships change every moment in quality, in intensity and in expression. All relationships are based on individual responses and reactions at any given moment. Because the two people who are involved are always changing, spontaneous, living beings, relationships will naturally always be in a state of flux. When you expect your relationship to stay the same always, you are inviting trouble for both! Then this truth is understood, detachment happens naturally. Forced detachment is not detachment at all. Real detachment is that which happens when you simply watch the play of mind in both and carry on unperturbed. When this happens, there is no special relationship – the whole world becomes your friend and you welcome everyone as they are.
